Consultation
We believe that consultation is important because - as with all people - disabled people have differing views and opinions on all subjects. Therefore by ensuring that a broad range of opinion is sourced on any given topic, those people truly affected by any decision get to have an input.
We are regularly asked to carry out consultation projects. Below is a list of the Consultation Projects that we have been involved with and link to any available reports on the consultation.

Home Improvement Agency Tendering (18th & 20th January 2010)
Bringing together a group of members to take part in an interview panel for organisations that had tendered to provide the work of the Home Improvement Agency.
Assistive Technology (16th December 2009)
Consultation for NHS Somerset, Somerset County Council and Wyvern Health to look at ways to increase the use of assistive technology in Somerset.

Service User Group for Tender of Sensory Loss Services (9th & 11th November 2009)
This group provides service users with different experiences of Sensory Loss (Blind, Visually Impaired, Hard of Hearing and Profoundly Deaf) to interview organisations that had tendered for the review of Sensory Loss services in Somerset.
