SAIN's main objective is to build up a network of individuals and organisations and to improve communication between them. It seeks to obtain information from the participants and to impart information to them. To achieve this SAIN works with individuals with disabilities, with organisations representing disabled people and with service providers throughout the County.
SAIN works with the local government, the Health Service, Social Services and anyone else who can benefit from their knowledge and expertise. By actively involving disabled people, their carers and disability organisations, SAIN is improving inclusion in decision making and policy - formation within various bodies in the County.
SAIN is rapidly building a reputation as the people speak to when disability is on the agenda. We get involved in all sorts of different things so we welcome all sorts of different people. If you think you would like to make a difference-come join us and be a part of the consultation process. Visit our membership section to complete an online application form or contact us at the office.
